In addition to inspecting electrical equipment, infrared thermography is used for carrying out a diagnosis on refractories, heating networks or buildings.

The aim is to detect wear and tear and damage to the refractories on furnaces or boilers, insulation defects, leaks on urban heating networks as well as leaks and thermal bridges in buildings.

In order to do so, we use higher resolution infrared cameras. For heating networks stretching several kilometres, an acquisition unit is placed on-board a helicopter or on a drone. The heat losses from each portion of the network are then presented on the drawing.

The thermal diagnoses on the buildings are done at the time of handing over in order to check there are no substandard workmanship, or during housing improvement programmes with the aim of achieving energy savings.
